Hello,again,friends. I want to tell you about our trip to the mountains and the music conference.
Singing in the choir was a blast. The songs were beautiful and fun to sing,too. It was so hard for me to hold my breathe in some of the parts,but,at the same time,I loved singing in the choir with the other girls and guys close to my age. Evan was in the choir,too. Wish Colin would have joined us,but,oh,well. I guess he's just not as into singing as the rest of us.
Evan was in the tenor section while I was(I think) a first soprano. The other first sopranos sounded so experienced and beautiful. One of them,Elizabeth,even got to sing a song from Phantom of the Opera at a talent show they had last Tuesday. She's really good! I was in the talent show,too. I got to sing God Help the Outcasts and had a great pianist/organist named Vicki accompany me on the piano. The low F is often hard for me to hold. So,Vicki helped me by changing the key and making it higher and more comfortable for me. I got lots of complements from people which made me feel quite popular. Elizabeth was great,too. She seems to have had more singing experience than I and she's only 16. lol She might be in a musical someday. I wouldn't be surprised.

There were also classes for hand bells,steel drums and instrumental ensemble(band instruments to be precise,flute,oboe,trumpet,etc.) and they also got to preform for the conference. One of the girls in our choir(don't know whether she was an alto or a soprano) got to play the trumpet in the instrumental ensemble and a couple of our altos got to preform on hand bells and steel drums. Yay for them!
Well,any way,the Friday night concert,ending of the conference,was lots of fun and hopefully soon,mom will have ordered the CD of the concert and it'll come in soon.
And,of course,we had a great 4th of July and the parade was cool,as it was every other year.
So,yes,we had an awesome trip. We'll be home for a week and leave to go to Texas on the 13th,which I'm sure will also be a lot of fun.
